I have wondered what the word "Pick" meant in citations of certain banknotes. At ebay, or other auction sites, sellers' descriptions have the word "Pick#..." in them. I guess Pick is the name of the original banknote cataloguer? See this example below: ND (1965) 100 Won Pick# 38a K&C53.9/DK52-2 South Korea, Bank of Korea. Red Seal & Bank Title PMG Choice Uncirculated 64 This citation is from a note currently for sale at Great Collections. The K&C 53.9 number: That's from catalog publisher, O-Sung K&C, the editor is Mr. Han Chang-joo. The DK 52-2 number: That's from the catalog publisher, DaeGwang-sa. Both of these catalog companies are based in Seoul and published annually. So, could someone tell me more about "Pick"? I assume that's the "P" number, too?
Yes Krause, no Pick is not the editor anymore, the last copy I have is edited by George S. Cuhaj. If you're looking into world catalogs, to not forget to check out the Banknote Book, Owen Linzmayer's new catalog.
