I was turned on to photoscape for PC's from somebody on this forum. As things have a way of doing. The PC started having problems at the same time as comcast's modem sucked some internals. After spending almost 6 hours on the phone with tech support The young women said that it must be some line problem and a bad modem. From what I could tell my son a former head of IT @ a casino, He said it was time for a new one the only choice was stay with PC or go to the darkside completely phone and pad. So I got a I mac and a book on transferring to Mac from PC's Then I found out that photoscape has a version for mac only one problem is that most of the features I liked are locked out and they want $29.99 for the pro version, mostly for those silly stickers packs and a couple of the items in crop, home and effects and adjust that were free before. Since I don't use any of the other stuff I'm not to happy about paying way to much for it. One problem I'm still having with the Mac version is I can't find the album with the photo's I want to combine. Any Macer's on here that can help? Also anybody eles know of a free app for the Mac that does the round crop?
Hey Circus. I'm a Mac guy. You have a couple of options. With your iMac you can install Bootcamp which is a program already installed on the Mac. What it does is creates a partition on your hard drive and then allows you to install a full version of Window's on it. Then you basically have two computers in one. It's great, I have mine set up like that. It helps a lot when you have some software that only runs on a PC. The other option and there may be a couple of free choices out there, is to find a virtual machine software that will let you install Window's. That will allow you to boot into Window's without having to restart the computer every time. If you have any questions feel free to message me.
Another option is to download Gimp. It is a free Photoshop alternative. http://gimp.lisanet.de/Website/Download.html I've never used it, but I've heard good things about it. I hope this helps.
Yes it is always nice to have options, I have thought about bootcamp wife's installation never worked right. Problem is my computer guy (son) quit his 9/5er to become a full time pit master and he is working all the time getting enough meat done he doesn't have time to come out and take care of any problems any more. I will keep you mind mind when I hit a road block the book can't solve thanks.
