I've been trying to download Photoscape on my laptop with no success. I'm getting a message on my screen from Norton saying the site is dangerous. When I search for another way to download, the message is that Photoscape crashes about once a week and that the site is new and unproven. I noticed that others on CoinTalk are using it and seem to like it. Does anyone know what is going on? Am I doing something wrong? Thanks.
I am not on the current version and I have never had photoscape crash. On the screen for photoscape use the download.cnet.com site - my software does not have an issue with it. Norton said the software was safe also. The brothersoft.com site comes back as malicious with Nortons - so I closed it and tried the second. That is where I got it from the first time.
i bet that cazkaboom will be on this thread in a couple of minutes, he will have the link for you to download, he's who i got it from.
I've never had any problems with photoscape crashing. I think I used the download that Mark recommended.
1. To access the site right click Norton in show hidden icon and click disable firewall and antivirus protection for ONLY 15 minutes. 2. Make SURE Photoshop is running in XP mode and administrator if it already isn't. You can do this by right clicking the Icon and click properties then then compatibility Run this program in compatibility mode for Windows XP service pack 3 and at the bottom run this program as an administrator and click apply the Ok.
Ok. I'm back. I did what Mark suggested and I got it. Seems to work fine. What's weird is that I don't have to log in to access it and there's no place to log out. That can't be normal. Is it? Is it a 2 step process to download? Thanks everybody. Hey green18! How are ya? Been awhile since we've been on a thread together. Nice seeing you!
You shouldn't have to log in or out. It's a program that you install on your computer. Can't wait to see some pics from you dear fellow.......
It was download.cnet so I think that's the correct one. If I don't have to worry about logging in or out like green18 said, I guess I'm good to go. Thanks again for coming to my rescue. I got deeply involved, as did my wallet, with the thread "Free Money" and put together a 2011 S Silver Proof Set NGC Proof 70 Ultra Cameo Early Releases Blue Label. Well just for the heck of it, I put it on the NGC Registry site and it was ranked #3. I guess if you have pics of each of the 14 coins in the set, the ranking will improve. So I wanted to get the Photoscape thing figured out to do that.
How could a great guy like you ever be in the DogHouse? The ranking system is a little confusing. If you have a written description and pics, that is part of the ranking equation as I understand it. I believe my points were 7,008. I would have to look it up to be sure. The virtual impossible to find Hayes Dollar came out of Avondale, Arizona. Maybe near you McBlzr? Never heard of that town before. Was very, very fortunate to finally find it.
