Now here is the photo of a $5 star note, it isn't that old but appears out-of-place now that we have come aquainted with the new design. I love this one.

I love stars!! That is mostly what I collect besides large-size notes. The older and crispier, the more I love them. You have a gorgeous note there!
I hold onto all star notes I come across even though many are far from unc. Your note looks to be in fair condition, can't say more than that based on the soft focus and warm lighting. Thanks for sharing your find!
The scan is difficult to determine the grade but I'll take a stab at Extra Fine or better. BTW, "fair" is not a currency grade so I assume "fine" was the intention.
You know what they say about "assuming"... Especially when the name of the thread indicates this is a "photo", which it clearly is and therefore not a "scan". "LOL! :smile"

Nope. I had no "intention" of offering an actual grade which is why I deferred from giving one based on the low quality of the image as noted previously. Fair ≠ 15.
