Philipines coin, how to clean?

I know usually your not suppose to clean coins , but this one has alot of gunk or something on it! Is there a way to remove it without damaging the coin? I don't even know if this coin is worth anything lol, but either way it looks neat, and would love to see the whole thing. Thanks guys! :thumb:

Warm olive oil soak?

 

So just put it in a cup of olive oil? For how long? ;o

 

1 day, 2??? I've heard you could use a potpourri warmer to keep it warm. Rinse it afterward with distilled water. Again, just what I've heard.
