I am going to be visiting the Philidelphia Mint to take a tour. I wanted to know if I can exchange cash for coins Face Value.

    Thanks

I don't know, but if you can...would you mind picking me up some 2009/2010 nickel/dime rolls? I'll make it worth your while. :high5:

    Thanks in advance! :thumb:

They have a change machine by the gift shop that used to give you the latest quarters for a $1 bill, or five Presidential Dollars for a $5 bill. The gift shop itself is not run by the mint. It is an outside vendor and they do not do any exchanges.

One note of caution. You can not take cell phones with cameras into the mint and there are no storage facilities, so just leave it in the car.

    Have fun.

Ditto what Space 4 Rent said. I was there a couple of months ago. There wasn't much to see because all the machines were down at the end of the year but for me the gift shop was great.
I may be the only guy in my town with a 'Philadelphia US MINT' t-shirt.
