I have seen many coins depicting ancient athletics - in may forms .. was there an ancient coin struck celebrating running? I have not found any. Just curious as this seems to be something that would be celebrated by the ancients. Any info is appreciated.

I don't know any type that specifically celebrates running, but visually, this one is close.

The athlete on this type is usually described as boxer (on account of the cestus, or boxing glove, he wears on his left hand) taking a victory lap.
