Anthony001,Welcome aboard. Can you please post photos of the coin,as there are quite a few countries in Latin America, plus Guinea-Bissau,that have used Pesos? We can then identify the coin.

    Aidan.

Well, that means it's not a genuine Mexican coin, but there are 18 other countries to check out.

Anthony - if you really want information about your coin, either post a picture of both sides, or tell us:
    • What metal(s) it is made of
    • its diameter in millimeters
    • its weight in grams
    • the design on the obverse
    • the design on the reverse and
    • what it says on each side.

We have a lot of people with expertise in many areas of numismatics, but so far as I know there is not one single mind reader among our membership.

KM#69, is a copper-nickel con with no unusual thickness noted in the Standard Catalog of World Coins, or any other readily available reference, so it's undoubtedly in the vicinity of 2-3mm, the standard thickness for a cu-ni coin of that diameter.

It is not double dated. The minting date is on the obverse, and "1993" is simply part of the official seal of the Phillippine Central Bank, which is the reverse design of all current Phillippine coins except the 5 sentimos.

The 2007 SCWC 21st Century 1st Ed. values it at $1.25 uncirculated (MS-60+) or $1.75 Brilliant Uncirculated (MS-65+); with any lesser grade being worth only face value of ~US$.20.
