I just got through with a box of BWR pennies. I found an incredible 74 (seventy four) wheats. This blows my mind. There were more rolls with wheats than there were without them. Some of the rolls had 3 wheats in them. Can anybody beat this?

Actually, I can beat it. This one time I was going to the bank, and i got 7 hand-wrapped coin rolls for cents, and when I opened the first one I was like awesome I found two wheats on the first roll! Great start! Then I opened the next four and they're entirely wheat cents, I even found a 1909 cent that day, so.

You award the win too soon...... While coin roll hunting I found a 1982 small date zinc with doubling on the reverse. It turned out to be the discovery coin for the 1982-ddr-001 and got an article in all the major numismatic periodicals. Still only three known to exist after seven years. I eventually sold it for $4000. The mark to beat is a 400,000% profit.

    Records for Buffalos:

13 in a box last year.
8 in a box a week before from the same bank - so likely from the same coin dump.

    Record for silver war nickels:
7 in a box a couple of years ago.
One time I found 4 in a roll, rest were all 40s dates in a CWR roll.

Record for wheats in one roll, the 146 wheat box produced sometimes 15 in a roll, there were steel cents on the roll ends and everything.

Last week I found a 1907 Liberty, AG-3 but my first Lib find in months.

    Records for dimes:
One solid roll of 1940s and 1950s Roosies in a CWR last year.
A couple of months ago I found 15 silver Canadian and American dimes in a CWR roll, the rest of the coins were up to 1968 suggesting it was rolled back then.

My 3 best huntin' finds have been a 1905 Indian head penny, a 1909 VDB wheat, and a 1943 silver war nickel.
