www.google.com That website with all the poop on Euros, including mintage? That was the very first hit in a list of more than 7,000 produced by the inquiry "Euro coin mintage".
You know Roy, the more I play with this contraption, the more I would have to agree with your post. What would we do without "google"?
You mean we can search on google for answers to "how much is my 1958-D Lincoln worth" BEFORE we ask such an insightful question?? You mean those threads of "Determining Value" and "What It's Worth?" are helpful? You mean we can search on Coin Talk for answers first? You mean that link of "Information and Helpful Links" is actually helpful? That's too hard...I'm going to ask the same questions over and over again. NOT!!
Even using Google can be frustrating if you don't use it correctly. When searching for info about coins, any coins, here's what I do. Start off by clicking on the Advanced Search button. Then just type in word - coin - and hit the enter key on your keyboard. Then scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on Search Within Results. When that window pops up type in the next word you want to search for - let's say Cameo since that came up in another thread. Then just start browsing through the links. The key to using Google to find the results you want to find instead of a gazillion links to stuff you don't want to see is to limit your search by using specific single words. Sometimes it works to use an exact phrase, but that often will not bring the link you actuall want that contains the specific information you are seeking. You may need to use the Search Within Results 2, 3 or even 4 times before you limit the number of hits down to a manageable size. But it only takes about 2 minutes to do that 4 times - where as you may spend 2 hrs searching through links and not find what you are looking for. Give it a try
Thanks for the tip Roy. Im stuck in my ways so I stick with Yahoo but seems like everyone has great success with google.
