Hi, Last night i went out detecting with my brother and we came across a nice signal. It was about 4 inches deep and we found a Leather scrap and in between it was those beautiful Penny's. The 1936 penny has this beautiful colors when u adjust it to the light. The 1929 penny was more on the side of the leather scrap and touching the dirt so i am guessing thats why it didnt get the same colors. I would like to hear from you guys what you think about them. do they look toned?
The coins are in the state i found them except the 1929 had a little dirt on it which came out while rubbing it with my hand when found The detector i use is the Minelab Explorer XS (hoping to upgrade to SE) :smile
Nice finds, and nice condition! Copper and bronze usually come out at least heavily patinated, and more often badly corroded. Yours look great. Ed
