Penny with splitting layers

    I found this penny it looks like it has chips in the copper on the obverse and reverse(on the top of the memorial) and at 430 right next to the date the layers are split. and also the penny is very noticeably bent could this be a minting error?

    You have blown 001 up so much I cannot even tell what it is a picture of. From what I can make out from 003, it is corrosion of one form or another.

    o sorry it shows up alright in my other pistures i'll try to get a clearer one up

    You missed what I am saying. It is so close up I cannot make out what you are trying to show. You need to show a picture of the coin, not a blow up of one little spot. Have you ever played that game where you try to guess what the close up is when you see the whole thing? That is what I am trying to play with that picture.

    That is all corrosion. I would guess that it has been sitting in some water for a long time.

    I thought maybe I actually found something I read somewhere that when some coins are mint small pieces could chip off so thats why I came here thanks for the help
