Okay here we go again... I did another one of these. Although in the last thread I said I was going to do Mona Lisa next, I decided it's too intense and time consuming - at least for now. So I did my penny rendition of the popular work of art LOVE by Robert Indiana. Previous projects: Penny Project Penny Projects 2 & 3 Blank 16"x20" board and pennies (the essentials) and ready to start... Penny placement begins...
Nice work. Have you had any offers to sell them yet? Seems these common simple designs would be popular things to sell. You might try to make an animated gif of the construction, step-by-step, for sharing online. Might be fun.
I haven't tried to sell them but I do plan to. Just haven't decided how to yet (online, through consignment at local art store, craigslist, etc). Good idea on the gif!
Etsy is good for handmade things. Might sell through eBay in a US Cent category, or some category related to the theme of your pieces.
Thanks. I have never considered myself to be artistic. More of a math and science type. I can't draw or paint. I can make these however lol.
I noticed how you said that you wanted to sell them, what if you consigned these pieces with dealers?
Let us know if and when you put them on the block. I suspect they will get some strong buying interest.
