    My oldest has become more and more interested in collecting and during a recent conversation he revealed he has no slabbed coins. So this Christmas he will receiving these:

    Our Christmas vacation a couple years ago. That's my wife just under the whale shark.

    Thanks for the update! I've used a metal cookie tin for a photo stand a time or two myself. And yes, those Pirouline cookies are the bomb dot com! We have a tin at home. Sadly, it is empty. I made it that way. ;)

    Well, folks, the twelfth and final day of COINmas is upon us.

    (12) Kennedy half dollars, including a certified proof coin.

    The coins appear to be Mint State and are clad (KM-202b & KM-A202b subtypes), except for one Bicentennial coin (KM-205). One is a 2001-S clad proof, ANACS-certified Proof-61. According to @Penny Luster, the description is as follows:

    To enter this round of the contest:

    1.     Merely say "I want those!".

    2. Claire would like you to also post something else "amusing and cheerful", of your choice. In her words:
    3. If you should happen to win, please post to this thread when you have received the prize, so that we will all know you got it.

    There should be a random drawing for this prize within a day or two of this post, depending on @lordmarcovan's schedule. Until such time as the round has closed and the winner of the drawing is announced, you may post an entry.

    You may enter on someone else's behalf if you wish (even if you've already won something).

    Before I post a happy pic I'd like to say on this final round of this years @Penny Luster Coinmas giveaway, you've once again generated a fantastic aura, vibe, feeling of small, intimate community on the sprawling worldwide web. Thank you very much for your generosity and thoughtfulness you obviously put forth into selecting the prizes for your giveaway.

    And as repetitive as this is, thanks again to you Rob, @lordmarcovan , for devoting the time and effort into keeping the entries sorted, and the drawings so scheduled. We all know you've had reason in the past to remove yourself from the daily grind of moderating here on CT due to whatever personal engagements you commit to in your every day life. So we know that a 12 prize giveaway is no small feat. You pulled it off again my friend. Kudos to you.

    I came to this site about 10 months ago to look up some of these crazy coins i was finding, and i have to admit, i fell in luv. The site, the people, the brother-sisterhood I've found here are truly amazing. Thank you all for accepting me for whom i am (for now ;)). This has been nothing but a blast, for me. Thank you all, again!
    Here's a "little" Christmas cutie that's been floating around our house since Dec 1. Anyone else have an Elf on the Shelf, watching over the kids to keep them in line?
    Me neither. It's (non-gender, as all elfs should be) for me! To make sure I've been good!
