    An 1827 large cent with severe environmental damage. Interesting how the original surface survived in a few patches.

    It ain’t too late until the fat lady sings MC does the drawing. You can always watch the summary at the bottom of the intro post to see where we stand.

    As to the spouse shouting from four rooms away, that doesn’t happen in our household. One, because our house ain’t big enough. Two rooms away is as far as you could get. Two, because Ladymarcovan already knows I can’t hear her properly half the time when we’re in the same room, anyway.

    I want those.
    I'm at the point where I have one girl (10-y.o. granddaughter) and three single women (2 daughters and a 25 y.o. granddaughter) to buy Christmas presents for. Having lost my wife last year, I don't have much of a clue what to buy for anyone (she was always the "idea" person for this). At her mother's suggestion the 10 y.o. is getting some pierced-ear-rings. She's also getting a check to spend on whatever she else wants (and her mother allows). The three women are getting checks too, with the advice that I'd like to know what I bought everyone for Christmas.

    Yay thank you so much!!!I didn't participate last year because I was so new.Thank you all and have happy holidays also a happy new year to all.In memory for Bob Dole and the last band of brothers survivor passed friday.
