One out of many proof and uncirculated coins purchased in a auction. This happens to be one of my favorite pieces to look at.

OK, time for our first drawing.

The first number drawn turned out to be for someone who didn't follow the directions
(aww, man, just two easy steps!) and posted an incomplete entry. So alas, that person missed their chance. :(

The second number drawn was #24.

And Post #24 was by @Treashunt!

Congratulations, Frank, you just won yourself a big, flashy piece of silver! :)

Shoot me your address in a private message.

And now the second day is upon us.

    Lot #2.

On the second day of COINmas, @Penny Luster gave to thee...

Two Peace dollars (1922-D & 1923) in plastic capsules.

    Want 'em? :)

All you have to do to enter is say "I want those!", and then post something else amusing and cheerful, per Claire's directions:
After one day has elapsed, we will then have another drawing, and give these coins away, and then we'll move on to the third day of Coinmas, which will be a drawing for three coins!

I want those! Second drawing ;)

Back in the '70's when I was a young teen I was coin roll hunting. I went to our local Amalgamated Savings Bank for a few rolls of cents. I went home to check my hoard. Upon opening one of the rolls I was pleasantly surprised to find all 50 cents were 1943 steel cents. Score! In those days that was a huge deal for me.

    Happy holidays everyone.

Here's a joke I remember hearing once when I asked a Florida coin dealer about Cuban coins.

Did you know that Cuba is technically the largest country in the world?

    The population is in Miami.

    The government is in Moscow.

    The military is in Africa.

And all the doctors are in South America.

Since you all had to endure that corny joke, here is a Cuban Peso.
