    And now the seventh day is upon us.

    Lot #7.

    On the seventh day of COINmas, @Penny Luster gave to thee...

    Seven (7) assorted United States coins:
    • a proof 1996-S Lincoln cent,
    • a 2019-D Jefferson nickel,
    • a 2016-P Roosevelt dime,
    • a proof 1971-S Washington quarter,
    • a silver 1964 Kennedy half dollar,
    • a 1979 Susan B. Anthony dollar,
    • and a silver 1922-D Peace dollar.
    With the possible exception of the Peace dollar, it looks like everything is either Brilliant Uncirculated or Proof. (OK, the Kennedy half might be AU++.)

    All you have to do to enter is say "I want those!", and then post something else amusing and cheerful, per Claire's directions:
    After one day has elapsed, we will then have another drawing, and give these coins away, and then we'll move on to the eighth day of Coinmas, which will be a drawing for eight coins!

    For anyone it the northern states, there is a chance the Northern Lights could be visible the next few days! That's a fantastic Merry Christmas!

    I've got a birthyear Lincoln cent to match those aurora borealis colors!

    A Southerner all my life, I was excited to see the Northern Lights once, on a visit to Maine.

    A lot of times, toned coins like this will "pop" only at certain angles to the light, and be more subtle when seen from other angles. This one, however, is every bit as electric and amazing in hand.

    I want those!

    My grandson, almost 5 y/o, loves going metal detecting with pop pop (me :) ). He wears my 'finds' belt/pouch with digging tool and Garrett pinpointer across his chest like a bandolier. He gets so excited when we get a signal. He knows when to dig and when he needs to pinpoint the target. So this Xmas I bought him his own metal detector. I cannot wait to give him this gift. His excitement will hopefully only come close to my excitement. Fun times.

    That's awesome .. I see this little boy a t Xmas so excited with his Metal Detector . He will fall alseep with it for sure . Metal detecting everything in the Yard in Winter time . I remember the years

    Even though I lost my wife this year (not amusing), in my newfound freedom, and to keep myself busy during Covid isolation, I have worked on several projects which she probably would have thought were kinda stupid. My incessant CRH (after a 55 year hiatus) being one of those. Some complicated exterior lighting controls, and also to protect some plants from frost, just in case (in I live in Phoenix, AZ, where frost is rare). Still haven't tackled some painting she wanted done, but that's coming.

    Definitely working on Christmas. The stockings are now up. Good thing we have a broad fireplace (me, wife, several kids, three daughters/son-in- law, seven grandkids, and a few shared by the pets).
