    It's just a novelty item that was done after the coin left the mint, so the value would be only to someone who collected such things. To a coin collector, it's merely damaged.

    Unfortunately there is one on Ebay falsely labeled as an error coin that is selling for a ridiculous amount of money.
    Too bad the POS can’t be charged with theft by deception.

    Wow.. 16 bids.. that is really sad! :facepalm:
    So many people don't understand the minting process and How true mint errors occur.


    I saw one for $3.00 at the flea market..
    I agree with novelty item.
