    Hi,

I found this coins yesterday. Is it a double machine?

I used a professional product to clean it... but not sure it is made for cleaning recent penny coins (excellent for gold or silver...). What is the best to clean recent coins?

    Thanks.

No idea about the error, but you shouldn't have used gold/silver cleaner to clean a cent.

If it is doubled, you reduced the value by 50% or more by cleaning it. I don't know much about Canadian cents, but it looks like there may have been a die clash also.

    Hi,

Normaly, i don't clean coins. On this case, i suspect an error but it was not possible to see it because there are some fat and ground ( circulated coin... probably from restaurant... :smile ). What to do when it is not possible to see nothing. There is a product or method to clean it without alter the coin?

    Many thanks.

    Hi,

Nobody know what is it exactly?

Die clash, Machine Doubling, Other DIE error?

Add a picture with date comparison.

I will call it : The Big Tree-O :smile

    Thanks.

It is mechanical/machine or strike doubling sometimes also

It is mechanical/machine or strike doubling sometimes also referred to as die bounce - it happens when die work loose and during the moment of striking there is a flopping together of die scooting the primary images.
