Penny and quarter - errors?

    hi my name is louise and just have a question i found 2007 penny no mint mark is that normal?

    also have a quarter 1996 and its almost hollow very light and u can see all the way around it that its hollow any one have any idea why that is?

    all cents from the Philly mint have no mint mark, so yes, normal. I would need a picture of the quarter to tell what it might be

    If it's really light I could be a replica made for use in magic tricks. They're used so that when they are concealed in fabric they don't weigh it down and become visible. This is just a guess.

    The line "u can see all the way around it that its hollow " makes me suspect an acid soaked coin where the copper core has been eaten well into the coin. best I can say without pictures.
