Peace dollar- Whizzed? Polished? Dipped?

    Still learning the differences between how coins are doctored. This peace dollar seems a bit too shiny and has little luster. Opinions?

    Polished.
    A whizzed coin will have an unnatural luster that I'm not seeing here.

    Correct! "Whizzing" is polishing that is produced by machine and would leave far more hairlines than we can see on your coin. ~ Chris

    I'll guess polished with a cloth and probably had a quick dip at some point in it's life.
