Not been a big Peace dollar guy. Old friend of mine has retired and is in need of liquidating some of his collection. I am asking here because I am at work and my Redbook is at home. He wants to bring me his Peace dollar set 1921-1935 or 32 average circulated coins for $640.00. Averages $20.00 a coin...... Aren't there one or two dates in the Peace dollar set that have a premium to them (1928 if memory serves)?? The fellow is a friend of mine and I don't want to do him wrong.
Don't forget the 1921 is the High Relief. and 1928 P & 1934 S & 1934 D DDO are the higher priced coins at any grade. 1927 to 1935 are a little more premium than the earlier ones too. https://www.usacoinbook.com/coins/dollars/peace/
Thank you for that. If he does in fact have a 28-P in the set I believe I may tag on another $100.00.
1921-P, 1922-P, D, S, 1923-P, D, S 1924-P and S, 1925-P and S, 1926-P, D, S, 1927-P, D, S, 1928-P and S, 1934-P, D, S, 1935-P and S. Total 24 coins.
Honestly @wcoins..... I just went back and re-read his email to me. My mistake. He is also selling me a 32 coin Ike set. In my haste, I misread the thing. The Peace set is a 24 coin set. Sorry bout that.
I didn't do as well as C-B-D did today.... Got a smoking Peace set, an average Jefferson set, an immaculate Ike set, a 1908 half eagle and ten pretty sharp Morgans for $1250.00. And helped a buddy out at the same time.
