    hey guys,

I was wondering when PCGS announces its values for the current year's coin. do they go by car year(starts in may-july) or calender year. I was wondering because I have ALOT of 2012 and 2012d MS-67 MS-68 Lincoln cents.

    rickmp Frequently flatulent.

If they did, they'd have prices for the 2013's already, right?

PCGS updates their pricing guides all the time. It's not yearly like the Red Book or monthly like the Greysheet. You might send an e-mail to Jamie Hernandez at PCGS to get a definitive answer to your question. He should/would know.

That said, if I were trying to figure out the value of my new Lincoln cents, I wouldn't use the inflated pricing in the PCGS guide, but rather completed sales at Teletrade or eBay, as they will be much closer to reality, IMO.

    Hope this helps...Mike

Mike is correct. Be careful when looking at PCGS prices.

PCGS's prices are like 'list prices'.

A nice starting place, and only a guide, nothing else.

If you have a LOT of MS 67 and 68 12 and 12-D cents then you can count on them not being worth much.
