i see some coins on ebay emphasizing that a pcgs slab does not have the collectors universe sticker/logo

    what difference does it make?

    thanks

None whatsoever. PCGS is a division of Collectors Universe along with a few other coin related companies and dealers. I have never seen slabs with the collectors universe sticker on them. The holder should never be the reason that a coin is purchased. Buy the coin. Yes it is true that some company holders have a more acurately graded coin in them, but that does not make it any more valueable. If a coin is MS 63 then it is MS 63. There are lots of individuals selling products on the internet that prey on the uniformed buyer.

could not agree more in fact I have purchased several excellent dollars, "not professsionally graded" and saved tons of money because of the uninformed buyers raising up graded coins way beyond their value. Thanks guys. A2J

Perfect example sir. If one can learn to grade coins for themselves, deals can be found in raw as well as slabbed coins.
