Do they send out population reports to members or is it an online only thing? I'd like to check out the pops of some coins.
You have to be a member to look them up online or get them in the mail. I have one from October 2005, so I can look them up for you. Charlie
Do many people sell them? I'm just looking for one recently, like 3-6 months old. I'll send you a PM tomorrow with the list. Thank you
Go to PCGS Set Registery, it might take longer, but for a few coins, it's okay. Also, those numbers are updated more often than the Pop Report.
Burks - There's a kind of round about way to do this if you don't want to sign up and pay the $30 PCGS membership fee. Any time you want to know the pop numbers for a given coin just visit the Heritage web site. Do a search for the coin of your choice in the grade you want to know about - like a Lincoln 1918 MS65. When that coin pops up, this is what you'll get - 1918 1C MS65 Red NGC. NGC Census: (48/11). PCGS Population (194/68). That tells you that NGC has graded 48 of them at 65 with 11 higher - PCGS 194 at 65 with 68 higher. You can do the same thing with any grade, any coin. And it's always there, and best of all FREE
