How many people on CT are members of PCGS or any other TPG? And is it worth it to become a member?

I used to be a PCGS member, but it was of no value for me to renew my membership. The main benefits are direct submission and access to the population reports, neither of which I desired. I just signed up for the free submissions.

If you belong to eBay, you can submit directly to NGC, and you don't have to be an NGC member.

Whether it's "worth" it to be a member, only you can decide. Do you need the pop reports? Do you want to submit frequently?

Various TPGs will offer submission specials to members.

I joined up with PCGS a few months ago, I renewed in December when they had the sale.

It's all a bunch of bullpoop IMO, both PCGS and NGC have done nothing but annoy me lately.

I am a member at NGC, but I am a free member. I get little except I get to maintain my registry sets.

If you belong to the ANA, you can join NGC for free.

    Yep.
That's why I use NGC rather than PCGS.
In fact I have to look over my stuff and come up with 5 items I'd like slabbed.
Got to have at least 5 items to use the "Economy" category.
    I've got a 1893-CC Morgan that will go G-4 or -6.
Since I want to sell it I'll get it slabbed. Makes the buyers happier and they'll pay/bid a bit more. Probably sell it at a show since eBay [deleted expletives].

AS an ANA member I can submit to NGC, or I could pay around half that and submit to DGS or IGC, and neither of them have a membership requirement.
