PCGS guess the grade Capped Half

    PCGS can be strict with this series, I would still say AU53 though...

    VF35
    Worn rims
    Scratch on shield ?
    Dings on cheek and chin
    Weak strike or wear on upper arrow tip and adjacent "A"

    It's a weak strike, typical of the O-108 in those areas, and that's not rim wear, it's the strike issue again.

    That's what PCGS calls an XF... don't tell me the coin in question has a lower grade. Look at the stars or hair above the ear.

    Is there a scratch on the obv, going from the cap to the stars? If it didn't grade I would say AU-det scratched.

    Wouldn't be surprised if it was a 53. Rarely see even high grade examples with that many feathers!

    Based on that statement I'm changing my guess to 58.
