Can anyone tell me how many generations of PCGS slabs there are or how to distinguish between them? I've seen some of the original slabs on ebay, I would assume "first generation" slabs, and I own several PCGS graded coins, with trademark dates of 2008 and 2010 on the back of the slab, other than that they look identical. I was hoping PCGS would have that info, w/ pics, on their website, but I had no luck finding it.
Conder101 is THE expert when it comes to the various generations of slabs from pretty much all of the TPG's. This link - PCGS Slabs - will give you most of not all of it, but only for PCGS. I have a link for the NGC slabs as well, HERE unfortunately the pictures are no good any more. Perhaps Conder will make a post of the of the types of slabs for the 2 companies here on CT. And use the picture attachment function so that all pics will be preserved - forever. How about it Conder ?
