    got a nice 1934B $10 note at the bank today!

    Amazing condition for a 70-year-old bill taken from circulation! Can't help wondering if someone didn't get into granddad's collection. :eek:

    Thats interesting, esp since about 2 months ago I came across a 1934 $5 at a restraunt that was pristine

    Fred Vinson was Secretary of the Treasury for one year, from July 1945 to July 1946, after which he became Supreme Court Chief Justice. Series 1934 B notes are relatively scarce, and in that condition even moreso.

    Nice find.

    I'm not sure that there is a correlation between the 2 bills ($5 & $10) being as bq you live in Nebraska and 9roswell you live in Connecticut

    someone either broke in and stole their collection or someones grandmal or grampal died and they spent it.

    last week i saw 2 large coins in the tellers tray,iasked her for them but she said i could only have the ike, the other was a peace dollar that some turned as a dollar. i also got a $2 star note with the $10
