    Hey guys,

Would anyone happen to know where I can get my hands on older catalogs from a few years back? I think it would be great just to take a look back in time to see what the prices used to be. I tried on ebay but no luck.

    Thanks!

Are you asking about general coin catalogs that are just listing and prices? Many keep a redbook from every 3 to 5 years, knowing that the prices were off then, but they are easy to find from the past and since they are all high, one can extrapolate a increase.

The large illustrated "slick" catalog of coin sales such as by Heritage, Stacks, Bowers and Merena, and others are cosidered by most to be quality numismatic literature and can be a much higher cost than originally. I collect Bowers and Merena catalogs and I would hate not to have the "King of Siam" sale of the 1804 presentation set, as the history there is quite complete, and the Eliasberg sales! But these are only good for price comparisons if you have the prices realized listing. I really loved it when Heritage gave catalogs free when you gave the unsecret "secret code" that was in Heritage ads in various coin magazines, but alas, no more.

I have never purchased from the site listed below but the do seem to have many older catalogs. I recently purchased a couple Goldberg catalogs from the company themselves. Very easy to deal with and the prices are about what I expected (but way cheaper than a book written on those same coins).

Here are a few of my old catalog / price guides . The oldest being 1936. I sure wish I could have bought at the prices stated inside -
