Here is the Grand Prize in the Contest!! Hi all... As you know the Contest will kick off soon the 18th of Dec, 2008. Many of you who have been in my contest before know that I often augment the prizes and this time will be no different!! Here again is the Fractional that is up for grabs as well as the Large Size Note I threw in at the last moment.... One lucky winner will get both notes. I have submitted to purchase this note or one in the exact same condition high end XF to AU as the surprise note! Whoops!! Forgot to mention that a Crisp New $2 New York Note released this year and sold out in 2 days at the BEP will be in as well. The SN# starts with 2008xxxx. Only 10,000 were released!! Hard to get! Hope you all enjoy and study for this one! There will be a bonus question that will be asked and the prize for the "precise answer" will be the very scarce 1/10th oz 1988 AGE (Raw) and should grade out to MS 62-63 at minimum. I do hope everyone has a good time with this contest as I hope to challenge your knowledge! Best regards... The estimated value of these 2 notes is ~ $160-$180 USD RickieB
A Little Sweeter!! Hello Folks... I have decided to sweeten the pot a little more!! A while ago I found a Series 2003A Richmond $1* note in circulation that is in XF to AU condition. The SN# is E00061167* and it comes from a sheet according to S/L 8th edtion and in chcu it is listed @$75.00 This note will be added to the Grand Prize for the contest!!! So WOW!! It continues to grow some more...LOL Happy Holidays to the Winner, and of course all of you! Regards, RickieB
Wow, that certainly is a sweet pot of prizes. I can't wait for this one, I think these are even nicer than the last contest...somehow, you managed to out do yourself Rickie!
Just some forward information! As with my previous contest, I have provided small bits of information to get you started. I will mention this only once and will mention it now. You will need to work to win this contest! Greglax does have a point! Reading all of your post's through out the years, I know you are all smart! The Contest is geared to let each of you learn things you may not know, yet again, you already may know as well. There will be a post in the Contest Thread on the 16th of December reminding you all the Contest begins on Dec 18th, 2008 One more thing...please do not let this statement make you apprehensive and keep you from the competition and awards...I am not trying to do that at all. I am just saying that it will not be to easy to complete and may take some digging! Best of Luck to you all. Kind regards, RickieB
This is what I thought made the last one fun. Participating in your first contest made me learn several things I didn't previously know. I really liked it. That's one of the reasons why I'm so excited this time around...that and the prizes are sweet.
I am happy to see the excitement... I can only hope that my questions are a match for your excitment! Tomorrow I will post the outline, rules and general statements on the Contest so be watching for this. Again good luck to you all. I feel I must state this again " the 1988 AGE 1/10th oz coin will only be given out if the answer to the question is matched precisely! Close will not win the coin....when you see the question, you will know if you have the right material to earn the coin...nothing less than exact quoted answer will work. Good luck everyone!! I will tell you that it took me 4.5 hours to put this contes together (question wise) but many hours looking for the material. Regards to all... RickieB
I'm stoked. I must admit, when this contest was first announced...I thought it was going to happen last weekend for some reason and I was worried that it would impact my studying for finals (since this is finals week). Fortunately, I will be all done with finals before the contest starts this friday! :thumb:
