Here is a preliminary image of this note a Large Size $50 New York in a High AU58 grade, 76 notes are recorded and this one is in the top five of all grades!

You will be shocked to discover what I paid for it and if you really want to know...PM me and I will fill you in. There are two more lots I am looking at.

This note has been on my list for the longest time..I am just thrilled to have it. The Closed Auction report shows me winning the note..:D:D

I also picked up tonight a $10 Large Size Blue Seal FR# 909 Burke /Glass for a song...in AU58 as well... better images as soon as I get the notes in!!

    HoBo and Daggarjon....

I have been looking for this $50 Note for so long....you would not believe how hard they are to find in AU and above condition. The ones that do exist are held by private collectors and they just do not let them go.

This night was a very memorable one for me as I added 4 notes that present such depth in the collection it just continues to inspire me to move forward.

All things can be accomplished if we try and this crazy goal of mine to assemble this New York Collection will one day complete itself.

There are numerous notes that are quite rare and may never be found!
The degree of difficulty for this collection is staggering at times, but things have shown up here and there and the good lord willing, they will continue!

I do hope to that you enjoy these and the images are auction images and not to good I am afraid. When The notes arrive I will post fronts and backs as the reverse of the $50 is really pretty unique!

    Thanks for stopping by guy's....

    Regards,

    RickieB

I have not looked as thuroughly as you for the notes and prices... but i have looked through the books, looked at various prices and KNOW just how many notes are out there that are both ellusive and expensive. That you make it look easy by posting image of the nbote you buy so regurlarly does not show any glimpse of the amount of effort you have to do in the background between purchases. The notes you look for are illusive and expensive - most of us know this... we KNOW you work hard just trying to locate examples of the notes you are missing. Then following the sale, folowing the quickly rising prices, bidding, bidding again, bidding a last time... and then its yours....

yes, you do make it look easy. BUT one day, when your down to the final 10 notes or so... with all the work you have done over the years, all the contacts you have made... i know that with all your had work, you will know exactly where all the notes are that remain for your collection :D and you will wait, wait for one of those to be offered for sale.

One day, your collection will be complete... and you wont know what to do with all your free time :D :D

Beautiful notes Rickie. I'm glad to hear that you picked up the $50 which sounds like it is very allusive. Congratulations. I don't know what you paid...but it sounds like you got it for a great price which always sweetens the deal. Well done my friend. :thumb:
