In order to know the "PQ designation", don't you also have to know who the grading company was? It's my understanding that graders uses different terms - PCGS = "PPQ" and PMG = "EPQ" for example.

MPCUSA uses only PCGS I belive but that doesn't mean it wasn't already graded.

i wanted to give an extra opinion on this note one of the first things you look at is the
Margin when evaluating a unc note this one in my opinion is under graded the margins
Arent that bad a 66 or even a 67 wouldnt be out of the question!

Grading does vary to a degree one way or another but as i posted this note could of went
Up one or two spots it,s a very nice note! I have some 65,s that hangover significantly
And yes you can tell easily what they are not so much with this one, kind of tricky!

I hope you bought it at 65 money or less. From the photos the centering looks pretty close. I do not have enough experience but it seems under graded to me too.

    Thanks

I sort of threw my vote in guessing it couldn't go higher than a 65 if PCGS graders felt the eye appeal of the paper was diminished from upper grades due to it's overall color, but that it still might achieve the PPQ if the paper met their criteria as "outstanding" in quality.

    PCGS PPQ

Thanks again for the contest and congrats for your win krispy. Also, thanks for giving a little more insight into grading and why it graded the way it did. I must admit that some things in a scan can be misleading and that may be why I graded it lower, but with the explanations and the PPQ link, I can see where I went off a bit. Hope to have better luck next time!
