I know that there are specific slab holders but they seem to be specific to the TPG's slab sizes. I'm wondering if I should put my various-sized slabs in one of those paper money album holders (the really thick "heavy" plastic holders, and not the flimsy kind). I'm not sure it'll fit upright, so I may have to put it in sideways. But, it appears that it will work. Anyone have any luck with this? FYI, I was considering vacuum sealing everything, especially since I already have a vacuum sealer. But given that it's more economical / less time consuming, I think that the air-tites should fit into the mylar flip albums, and the slabs in the paper money albums. I was also considering boxes for the slabs, but I'd rather consolidate them all into an album binder (minus my culls, bullions, etc).
I've run into the same problem. But fortunately I was also a stamp collector. There are pages for stock books in all sorts of configurations. Look around but if you check Vario first you'll get an idea of what's available. Page size, double sided, 2 vertical pockets per side may be what you want.
If anyone has the really thick (e.g. Lead Dog brand) 12x12 album pages with 2-11/16" x 2-1/2" pockets, can you please check if the really large air-tites will fit (e.g. ones with an outer diameter of 2.031" / 51.59mm)? I'm unsure if the air-tites will fit due to the thickness of the capsules. And, if someone can please check if the really small air-tites will fit snugly without swimming around too much, I would greatly appreciate it.
