Here are some bills that I won at auction Saturday. I thought you all might like to have a look-see. 1935-A Silver Certificate Star Note: (2) 1957-A Silver Certificates, Star Notes, (Consecutive): (4) 1935-D Silver Certificates, (Consecutive):
Thanks Guys ! The first one looks as if it was folded once or twice, but the rest are as crisp and straight as can be.
Nice looking notes there rotobeast and some decent serial numbers as well. Check the corners on the CU notes to see if they have taken an damage due to counting etc. Did ya pick them up cheap? Dan "it's pining for the fjords" clembo
Cindy,if they were Canadian & the 'Devil's Head' variety, then they would have been right up my street. Aidan.
Nope, no trouble on the corners. Cheap ? Depends what cheap is....lol 1935-A Silver Certificate Star Note- $19 (about $4 higher than I really wanted to go, but I didn't like the guy I was bidding against) (2) 1957-A Silver Certificates, Star Notes, (Consecutive)- $27.50 (these are nice as nice can get) (4) 1935-D Silver Certificates, (Consecutive)- $42.50 (same turkey was bidding against me again) Clembo ! Been shoppin' ? Nope, been shoppin'. What's that ? It's a piston engine !
Not too Shabby Ken (raising polecats for peace). Sound like keepers to me. I suggest you travel to the Gotta Love Ebay thread where you'll find an interesting story that is totally unrelated to Dennis Moore.
Your lupins or your lives !! These are the first Silver Certificates I've ever aquired. I think my expectations of future notes will be quite high.
