They are realy lovely coins and come in a number of values, have a look at my collection and you will see a few :smile Still not got my 1st full one though LOL
Nice coin clembo. The balboa fractionals were interchangable with their equivalent US coins at the time this was minted.
I really like the design of the Panama coin. It is much better than any of the dead presidents on US coinage. This is my world coin purchase (at just over spot) from this weekend. Very best regards, collect89
collect89, Those are pretty coins and I see them all the time but usually circulated, smaller denominations. If one like yours rolls in I'll probably snatch it up. clembo
My first exposure to a Balboa was in my dad's collection. After 36 years, I guess my dad finally broke down and let me rumage through is collection and take what I wanted. I could see that it was killing him so I left most of his world coins alone, but I did take his Balboa. Gorgeous coin. I since upgraded my dads coin to the exact year, but a nice unc example and bought another one as well. Both can be seen in my albums. Nice coin Dan.... always a great feeling when you can hold a nice chunk of silver in your hands.
