I bought a 1927 Palestine 2 Mils coin that I ran across in an antique shop. It's about the size of a US large cent. What caught my eye was the combination of English and Arabic words on the coin. I'll add it to my small foreign coin collection. I guess I never quite realized that Palestine issued it's own coins before World War II. Somehow I figured they used British or coinage from other neighboring countries.

Cloudsweeper99,Palestine issued coins between 1927 & 1946.There was a coinage for 1947 prepared for issue, but nearly all the coins were melted down.

    Aidan,

Thanks for the info. I never saw one before so I couldn't let it just sit there.
