I have been offered a pair of 1877-P $5 gold pieces with XF-AU details pretty reasonable. The only minor detraction is that cuff link bases are soldered to the reverse and bezels soldered to the edge. They are a very attractive well made pair of cufflinks.
Howdy tailfins1959 - Welcome to the Forum !! I assume you're wanting to know what the value might be - given the fact that the coins have been turned into jewelry and soldered to boot - they're worth gold content and that's about it.
Thanks!! Amazing! Only 3,000 or so were minted. Forgive them (the craftsmen that made the cufflinks) for they knew not what they did. Thanks for the info!
