P & D orders from the Mint

    How is the US Mint able to send P & D orders in one box. These mints are thousands of miles apart. Looking at the shipping box, indicates that the coins are sent from Plainfield, Indiana. Is this a central staging area for all mints (P-D-S) to be delivered and dispensed ?

    Don't forget the mint at West Point.

    Yes, there is a centralized, contracted-out packing and shipping company for all four mints.

    Plainfield, Indiana? Custom Packaging Company is the plant where whatever mintmarks you ordered are stamped on just before shipping
