I know that this has probably been touched on many times in the past. I'm not one to clean coins but I came across a partial roll of twenty five Columbian Expo Commeratives at a yard sale. I actually paid an increible price for them but thats another story. My problem is that they are all VERY, VERY, VERY oxidized. I was thinking of using an ultrasonic jewelry cleaner. I cannot bring myself to try a coin dip. Do you think this would work or should I just leave well enough alone. Thanks in advance for any help.

Nice yard sale find. How about some pics?

An ugly tarnished coin is worth more than an improperly cleaned one.

Hard to say what would be best without seeing what you are asking about. Post pics.
