Someone has used the technique of overlaying one side of a coin on the other to show the device match-ups resulting from die clashes.
The more I look at my coins closely, the more die clashes I encounter.
It would be VERY helpful to me in documenting the extent of die clashes if I could learn the overlay technique.

Would someone in the know please explain the process?

    P.S. I don't have Photoshop in case that's what's used.
I have Paint Shop Pro which is similar.

Can't say for sure because I've never tried to do it myself. But I think you use what is called a mask. A mask is a semitransparent image that you can overlay onto another image thus creating the effect you describe.
