Perhaps it's just me or it's the pic - but I can't see any signs of an overdate

While it is a nice 44 cent, I don't know of any overdate for this particular series. Can you provide some more detail?

At the end of the date behind the last 4 is a image of a 3, there is also a 43 in the shoulder of the sleeve of Lincoln's jacket, even the reverse has a 3 struck into it, you just have to look, give me a e-mail and i will send a larger scan, if you would like.

Got the pics. I still don't see it. Sorry. I can make out what appears to be a large 3 behind the last four in the date, but this just doesn't add up to an overdate. Looks more like a die polish that just happens to look like a 3. Coincidence.
Now of course this is just an opinion based on photos. I wish you the best of luck with the grading service. Which one are you submitting it to?

I suppose ICG unless you have a better suggestion?

ICG or Anacs would be the good choice for a new variety. You should be very specific in what they should be looking for.

For whatever it is worth - in my opinion I would not submit this coin for grading. The grading fees are more than the coin is worth. But if grade it you must - go with NGC.
