I've been Buying and Selling US coins on Ebay for years now. Virtually all unslabbed coins. I've managed to stay in the black while building my own personal collection by buying in bulk and selling individually, improving the marketing/pictures etc. However, I've grown tired of the 9% Final Ebay Value Fee + 2.7-2.9% PayPal Fee. Other than Teletrade (which is actually pretty sweet, but only good for higher priced coins), would you all mind sharing your website 'Resources' for Selling coins? Any sites with decent web-traffic?

I realize its hard to avoid the PayPal fees, but 9% is high (not as bad as an auction house though).

    Thanks all!

Honestly, I think ebay fees are pretty reasonable. I have consigned some coins to dealers and found their fees range in the 10% to 15% range as well, with the lower range reserved for higher value coins. For low value coins ebay is pretty much the best game in town, I don't know of any other place where you can list low dollar coins for sale and get the same traffic.

  5. You may want to try Great Collections. It seems to have caught on pretty well with collectors and sellers. They handle all the picture taking, etc. The cost is nominal. I have never sold through them, but have bought on occasion. I have heard from people that do sell through them, that they were very satisfied with the process.

Great Collections : For US coins might be great, but for sure not for ancient coins. Only a handfull offered, and prices higher then the stars !
