I have a friend that wants me to help sell his coins. I have always sold items on eBay. I thought I would ask the collective Cointalk brain if there is any other avenues to sell coins.
    Any opinion would be appreciated.

If you can take very high quality close up photos, then EBAY is a good place to sell. Many collectors will avoid listings without good photos. A local coin shop will also buy them, but know in advance that the dealer will most likely size you up to determine how much he can low-ball you. So if neither you nor your friend is a collector, Ebay will probably net the most.

It would help to know what type of coins, and their approximate grade.

If you can provide a basic list of the coin inventory, then I could probably make some suggestions. Let us know if the coins are raw & if any are graded by third party grading companies it will be important to know which TPG.

    Very best regards,
