hey all....as a beginning collector I was looking at this on e-bay as a cheap way to get a decent piece so I can start learning about this series. thanks for the replies...I really appreciate it. I actually do like the coin quite a bit, for some reason it caught my eye and it also caused me to start reading up on the series. Even though it looks cleaned it still is on par for the price so I think we'll try and bring it home. It will look nice on my dansco type set album until I can upgrade down the line a ways.
The coin appears to have been harshly cleaned at some point in time and since re-toned. Realizing that, and if the price doesn't get out of hand in the last minutes - have a go at it.
Set a limit of what you want to spend for the coin. If you want it buy it for under that limit. You can also search Ebay on prices that other coins have gone for.
good point smithrow, I was looking around earlier at comparable halves not just on ebay but in other auctions so I could set a decent price limit....it should be interesting to see if it takes off in the last minutes or not! thanks
