Hello there! I am working on making labels for my 2x2 (double-pocket) flips for my world coin collection and have posted a number of times about making sure the materials are good for coin storage. So far, everything looks good, so I am now designing the labels. I think they are about finished. I have basic coin information on the front and any provenance/information about where I got the coin on the back. I like the front design and don't plan on changing it, but I am unsure about the back design. Front: Back (Poll Option #1): I was showing my parents, and they thought that I should also include the provenance of the coin being in my collection on the back of the label (for future collectors and the like), so I made some examples (Poll Option #2): My family all really liked these, but the last thing I want to do is plaster my name on every flip if it takes away the emphasis on what makes them special (who had them before me, where I acquired them, etc.). Don't get me wrong--they look really nice. I just want to make sure it doesn't make it look so busy that the emphasis on the notes at the bottom of the label is lost. So, I made some examples where my collection name is smaller (Poll Option #3): Kind of looks weird having the smaller font. Personally, I like it more with the same font. This is where you all come in! Which label design do you like more? Should I include the fact that it is in my collection? I mean, my collection name doesn't really matter right now as I am not a hugely accomplished numismatist like Eliasberg or Newman, so it feels a bit selfish in my point of view to put "Soren Rollin Collection" on them. I will also put a poll up as I am hoping for as many responses as possible. This is my long-term storage plan, so I want to do it right (so I don't ever have to change the labels). Clearly I am pretty good at overthinking things, so I figure you all may be more decisive than me
Lastly, if you read through all of this, I want to thank you very much for helping me out with designing my labels. This is a pretty big project for me, and it can sometimes be very stressful trying to perfect a long-term storage system on my own. I appreciate any and all input.
I like all the versions but it would concern me if the paper/card is not archive quality as all other papers contain sulphur. In combination with the oxygen the flips will allow to enter, it can speed up the toning occuring on your coins.
It is cardstock listed as "acid and lignin free." Sadly it does not mention sulfur, so I may need to reach out to the company before I actually make the labels. I actually made a thread where this was discussed: https://www.cointalk.com/threads/does-cardstock-have-pvc.401951/#post-13581965)
