Wondering if our members believe this SLQ to be cleaned. Thanks to all who take the time to post opinions. https://www.ebay.com/itm/256224137450? J.T.
Yes. Their other SLQs look much better than this one. Edit: I got a Lincoln 1922-D from them a couple of years ago that I am really pleased with (post is in https://www.cointalk.com/threads/post-your-lincolns.192928/page-360#post-4860627 ). I generally like their offerings and was kind of surprised when I first saw the hairlines on that quarter a few days ago.
Full Head, but it has a slight rub. It’s not Mint State, and it has some hairlines from cleaning. The white balance is off in the photo. If this coin as good as the description, it would certified.
Yes, and I agree that it would be in plastic if it was that good. Too bad, but it is still an attractive coin.
Thanks to all members who took time to chime. I've been watching this seller and know they've been mentioned in this discussion group several times. J.T.
I think of all the coins I don't have I would like a collection of these. But, to get a nice looking set is just out of my price range. They would certainly not have to be mint state, but nice eye appeal. I feel the same way about capped bust half-dollars. Still a nice coin even if it has been cleaned, and I believe it has.
very nice coin, but yes it has been cleaned... If I'm not mistaken that is the same seller I got my 1917 type 1 from... that came back unc/cleaned, but I'm happy for the price I paid (side note: I knew it was cleaned when i purchased it so wasn't a surprise)
