Went to the coins store today to trade in some bullion coins and to search the CBH's and the Large Cents. They did have a clip error 1795, but it had problems and to me it was over priced - wanted more for it than the other 1795 I posted not to long ago. Maybe it was worth it, but I passed. So next I look at shield nickels - nothing new there. So I move to the CBH's, again nothing new there - but I did pick up a couple of 1836's that I liked the dark colors are(another post later maybe). So I thought I would scan the liberty nickels - I wanted a decent 1885. Well I scrolled the wrong using the buttons on the display and ended up going through the buff nickels and when the golden toned 1938 caught my eye. And two coins down was 2 1937 3 legged coins. I have always wanted one and this is the one I chose. As it is I love the light golden tone on the 1938. Going back tomorrow to get my father to look at some morgan CC coins, will look for more buff's with this golden toning. As it is both of the 1913's have also have this toning, but just no where near as lusterous. So enough with the blogging - here they are played with the lighting a little bit to show the golden tone on the 1938. At the coin store I did not see any rubs on it, but I must admit I have not looked at enought of these coins to get a good fix on the 1938. The other is the 1937 D - I have wanted ones of these for a long long time. The 1937 D - I think VF20, and at least doing some comparisons to other coins, but all opinions are welcome. If the pictures are too dark let me know - I can try getting more direct light later tonight or tomorrow.
This any better - best I can do a gloomy day with my light source. Bought a couple more buff's today. Thanks for taking a look.
