I have a chance to buy these for cheaper than it seems they should be, which made me nervous, can you all give me some opinions?

SGS had the 1885 0 Grade MS 66 and the 1898 an MS 65.

I disregarded the grade and assumed lowest MS grade, but I still pretty much get killed when it comes to ID'ing clean/polish coins, so I overpaid by $15 total or so I guess. I will keep buying lower priced Morgan's until I figure out what the heck I am doing.

The 1898 is definitely cleaned. Not positive from the pic on the other--probably low MS. Not what they are graded at by those basement slabbers. Why don't you buy PCGS or NGC coins until you get more expertise in grading and recognizing cleaned coins??? You can find reasonably priced common date Morgans in either of the big guns' slabs.

you're right. I had started out getting a few toned coins that I liked then saw these and figured i'd chance it since I knew the SGS rap and wouldn't overpay a ton. Thanks (again) or the input/advice.
