Last week I was headed for semi-retirement for CRH. Now I am back in the game full force after I sold my 40% halves at a show for a decent price. I would like to expand my enterprise and am about tapped out with my current bank as far as how far I can go on getting and dumping boxes. So I am thinking about opening another account at a different bank so I can have two going at once for getting and dumping boxes. Any suggestions on what banks or credit unions to use? I'm in Colorado.
Yeah, that would be a must. Now that I think about it I don't know why I started this thread. I thought it out and since there are no CWR to be found in my area I'm going with a major bank.
You may have to have a minimum in your account in order to avoid fees though. I'd find a CU around you if at all possible.
I found a bank that has no minimum and has halves and no charge for the coin machine. They have several branches on my commute to work too, so no gas money. The only drawback is the coin machines are behind the counter so they dump for you. Don't know how excited they would be to see me at least once a week. Chocolate and charming the tellers would be imperative.
You could wear out your welcome pretty fast (even with chocolate and charm) if you need to hand over boxes worth of halves and have the tellers count them out in machines. Boxes of halves are heavy and cumbersome as it is. There are no free counting machines where I'm at anymore so I've become acclimated to just re-rolling coins myself. I'd be prepared to start doing that or rotate your drop off banks frequently.
Doubt you have TCF banks out that far, but I use them for dumps. Counting machines at most branches and $100 minimum for savings. And they're open Sundays.
